Quality Control Expeditor

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Expeditor to join our Quality Control Team at Feast & Fettle. In this role, you’ll be the final check between our kitchen and our Members—ensuring every meal meets our high standards before heading out the door.

What will the QC Expeditor do?

The Quality Control Expeditor will play a crucial role in our commercial kitchen by ensuring that all food products meet our stringent quality and safety standards before they are served. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What does a strong applicant for this position have?

  • Quality Assurance: Inspect and evaluate all food items for quality, presentation, and taste prior to service, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Order Coordination: Facilitate communication between kitchen staff and service teams to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
  • Food Safety Monitoring: Adhere to and enforce food safety regulations and best practices, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Training and Support: Assist in training kitchen staff on quality control procedures and standards, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Feedback and Improvement: Provide constructive feedback to kitchen staff on quality issues, collaborating to implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, quality control measures, and any discrepancies, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in food safety and quality control, suggesting improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

● High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or food safety certification preferred.

● Proven experience in a commercial kitchen environment, with a focus on quality control or

expediting.

● Strong attention to detail and the ability to assess food quality quickly.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.

● Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices (e.g., HACCP).

● Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining a positive attitude.
